ABOUT YOLI DICK
I didn’t start in dentistry. I started in Venezuela.
A Bachelor's in Marketing. A Master's in Commercialization. Years of marketing leadership in telecommunications. Five years of clinical experience in the dental operatory. And more than a decade of building marketing systems for dental specialists. Every layer was intentional.

THE FOUNDATION
Where it started.
I grew up in Caracas, Venezuela. In the mid-2000s, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a Master’s in Commercialization, then went straight to work — first as a marketing coordinator at a telecommunications company, where I spent 4 years turning strategy into measurable growth. Then, as a restaurant manager, I applied the same marketing discipline to a completely different industry and watched the business grow because the fundamentals work everywhere.
Those early years taught me something that most marketers in dentistry have never experienced: what it feels like to be responsible for results in industries where nobody cares about your title. You either deliver or you don’t.
In 2009, I made a decision that changed everything. I left Venezuela and moved to the United States.
I started over. Completely.
My first job in the U.S. was as a Sales Support representative at AT&T, not a director. Not a strategist. The sales floor. I worked my way up, proved myself in a new country, and earned recognition for the same thing I’d always done: driving performance through strategy, not shortcuts.
“A self-starter who drives performance and positive change. Yoli brought energy, leadership, and strategic insight that helped improve team performance during her tenure at AT&T."
— ROGER PULLEY, Former Leader, AT&T
AT&T and the telecom years gave me the mechanics of strategy, communication, and sales execution. But something was missing. I wanted to do work where human connection mattered as much as conversion rates.
So I made another bet on myself.
INSIDE THE OPERATORY
Learning Dentistry From the Inside Out
In 2012, I entered the dental industry as a business assistant at a large DSO. I saw how the corporate machine worked — the systems, the volume, the disconnection between the business side and the clinical side. I knew I wanted to be closer to the patients, not farther away.
So I earned my dental assistant certification and got hired as a surgical assistant at a prestigious oral and maxillofacial surgery practice. That’s where everything came together.
Working chairside, I didn’t just learn dental terminology. I learned the real heartbeat of a specialty practice:
The trust is built in a single conversation between a surgeon and a nervous patient.
The pressure of overheads, case acceptance, and the revenue that depends on both.
The way one referral relationship can open doors for years — or close them overnight.
Then I saw something nobody in the front office was seeing: the implant department was leaving revenue on the table. Not because of clinical skill. Because nobody had built a system to grow it.
So I built one.
Not as a marketer, they hired. As a surgical implant coordinator who understood the clinical workflow, the patient hesitations, and the referral gaps. I created a marketing plan from the chair — and grew implant cases by 65% in one year.
That was my first marketing plan in dentistry. And I built it from the operatory, not the conference room.
FROM INSIDE THE PRACTICE
“Working with Yoli was a game-changer for our specialty practice. She brought incredible organizational skills, fresh ideas, and a drive to improve every part of our implant department. Yoli quickly mastered advanced dental implant systems and developed a comprehensive manual that streamlined our operations and helped our entire team, both new and experienced. She also rebuilt referral relationships, which directly improved our patient flow and revenue. Her dedication, creativity, and patient-centered approach made a measurable impact on our practice’s growth. Yoli is more than a marketing strategist; she’s a trusted partner who delivers results.”
— VICTOR STONEBREAKER
Practice Administrator
Those years showed me something most marketers never see: patients don’t make decisions based on numbers alone. They choose care based on trust, emotion, and human connection. And referring doctors don’t send patients to the best clinician — they send them to the clinician they trust the most.
That insight completely transformed how I approach marketing.
THE BRIDGE
From Clinician to Strategist
From implant coordinator, I moved into my last full-time role: Marketing Director for an oral surgery practice. For the first time, I was leading the entire marketing function — brand, digital, referral outreach, team training, vendor management — with the clinical credibility to back every decision.
I wasn’t guessing what the surgeon needed. I’d stood next to him in the operatory. I wasn’t theorizing about the patient journey. I’d walked patients from the front desk to the surgical chair. I wasn’t assuming how referral relationships worked. I’d rebuilt them myself.
With my Bachelor's in Marketing and Master's in Commercialization, I believe in doing the work to understand how products, services, and ideas are brought to market at a level most marketers in this industry have yet to reach. Not a weekend certification. Not an online course. A graduate degree.
By then, I had something nobody else in dental marketing had: a formal marketing education, corporate strategy experience, and years of hands-on clinical work inside specialty practices.
In 2019, I launched YDMS.

THE MISSION
What I Built and Why
YDMS is a neuroscience-driven marketing consultancy built exclusively for dental specialists: periodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists, and endodontists.
I serve as a fractional Chief Marketing Officer for a small number of practices at a time. I don’t sell packages. I don’t mark up vendor services. I lead the strategy, coordinate the team, and make sure every marketing dollar is tied to a system that drives measurable growth.
My methodology — the Referral Momentum Engine — is built on the neuroscience of how people actually make decisions: trust, attention, and action. It’s the framework I use to map, score, and activate the referral relationships that drive specialty practice growth.
I don’t build marketing plans. I build growth systems.

Growth Systems.
Real Results.
Increase in implant cases for an oral surgery group in 1 year.
Practice growth for an oral surgery practice in 1 year, while cutting marketing costs by 35%.
QUALIFIED LEADS IN 6 MONTHS
Increase in patient inquiries in 6 months through organic social media.
THE MISSION
The Personal Side
I’m Venezuelan-American. I was born in Caracas, and I built my career across two countries, three industries, and both sides of the dental operatory wall. Every step of that journey taught me something I use in my work today.
Telecommunications taught me how to build systems that scale. Dentistry taught me that trust is the most valuable currency in healthcare. Neuroscience taught me why people say yes — and why they don’t.
I believe marketing should be human-centered, evidence-based, and built for the long game. I believe specialists deserve a marketing partner who has actually lived their world. And I believe the practices that win aren’t the ones with the biggest budgets — they’re the ones that earn trust systematically.
When I’m not building growth systems for specialists, you’ll probably find me with my cats, Tito and Princess — or dreaming about the day I retire to Ibiza to dance to techno with my husband.
